Bible Verses for Unplanned Pregnancy
The news was not in your plan, and now you are trying to figure out what to do when the ground has shifted under your feet.
Looking at What Scripture Says About Unplanned
God's Design Before Birth
Mary's pregnancy was the most significant unplanned pregnancy in history — young, unmarried, with no human explanation available. Her response — "be it unto me according to thy word". Something I've come to believe. Is the model for receiving what wasn't planned. Psalm 139:13 uses cakak (to weave, to knit intricately) for the formation of the child in the womb — unplanned to the parent doesn't mean unplanned to the one who wove the child in secret. Jeremiah 1:5 establishes that God's knowing of the child preceded conception — the pregnancy that was a surprise to the parents was not a surprise to God. Philippians 4:19 uses plerosai (to fill completely), provision calibrated to the actual need, not to the plan.
