Bible Verses for Workplace Conflict

You spend more waking hours at work than almost anywhere else, and when those hours are poisoned by conflict, there is no easy escape.

The Biblical Picture

Joseph's workplace injustice. False accusation, imprisonment. Was not prevented by God, but God was present inside it and gave Joseph favor even in prison. Paul's qualification of the peace command, "if it be possible, as much as lieth in you", acknowledges that only your side of workplace peace is your responsibility. Work done from the soul, before the Lord rather than before a difficult colleague, has a different orientation than work done to manage human approval. The long arc of diligent work is vindication that's eventually as clear as noonday.
